Today, I said the last “goodbye” to my good friend and Mentor, Dimitris Skoufis.
This blog is dedicated to him, for he was the one who inspired me and encouraged me to “build” this blog.
No matter what, this man will keep on reminding me how to stay decent, patient and strong.
Thank you for everything, my friend.

I, too, loved Dimitris. I met him on the internet and he quickly became a precious friend. I admired his gentleness. I loved his thirst for knowledge. I loved his dedication to his students and he talked of them often. I admired his pride in his children so evident when he often spoke of them. He lived not for himself but for others, always giving unselfishly of himself and his time. He loved Greece in such a way that I still desire to go during Easter, to walk the square with it's reverent hush, and smell the sour oranges in bloom. Dimitris was not just a nick I talked with. He was my friend and I have been blessed to have known him for he has made my life richer. How fortunate those who could spend actual time with him are! I envy each and every one of you.
It is so nice to know that there’s people “out there”, remembering and admiring my friend as much as I do. If you ever visit Greece, drop me a line…
